As you probably know, a load of overly good-looking lifeguards touched down in London earlier this month and on Saturday did their rounds across the city opening the new Gilly Hicks stores in style, well technically just in shorts but you already knew that..
On board the bus heading to Stratford Westfield, I got to hang with the lifeguards and generally chill and witness the crowds going crazy for the underwear that was being thrown their way! As we were pulling into Westfield, the guys came down for a quick chill moment and they were the loveliest people, it was quite funny hearing about their London experiences as most of them had been flown in specially for the openings!

The day was filled with funny moments, like when the bus driver went down a one way street in Piccadilly, which caused a little traffic, but all you heard were the models filled with energy on the top deck still heaving the 140,000 pairs of underwear into the more than excited & eager crowds!

Whilst exploring the new Westfield store, I was pleasantly surprised with the prices, there wasn’t the expected crazy high price points, instead I was faced with underwear offers, SUPER soft Joggers & loads of fun make-up!

Buffy from Lush - Once you use it, you’ll never look back. I promise you i’ll be using this body butter for a LONG time, unless they discontinue it, but I doubt they will as it’s so awesome!

Wow! Oh how I’d love to have a Drake Hotel & General store over here in the UK, it was genuinely an experience. So you tend to stumble into the store after you’ve seen the overly cool hotel (post coming soon!) so your expectations are high and all hipster filled, but the general store hits you in face with in all it’s amazing glory and says ‘ha! & you thought I wasn’t gonna be cool enough for you, suck on that!’ Yup, it does not disappoint! It’s literally overflowing with items that just belong there and that you want to belong in your house. There was a moment in store, when I said to the girl who worked there “You guys totally need to stock Hershel Bags” her response “ah yeah, they’re just round the side to your left” – it’s like I walked in and I just understood what the creators of the store were trying to achieve, it was just great!

I won’t go on for much longer, but I will say as if having one store wasn’t cool enough, they have like a bunch, there were some just next to each other on Queen Street West & some in other parts of Toronto, all essentially rubbing off each other’s awesomeness but featuring fairly different stuff – see if you can decipher which pictures are from which stores.. I didn’t really give you much help there, I know.

Desa Bag – I tend to love the huge bags, but Desa prove that you can use a nice decent sized back on a day-to-day basis, also you really must visit one of their stores to understand how soft & great the quality is!

I think it’s about time Miranda got herself a Teen Vogue cover! I mean, I don’t watch iCarly or anything she’s been in, but I know she’s one of those teens who is very active in the entertainment scene (at least more than these guys) so I’m glad to see her and plus it’s one of those typical magical Teen vogue shoots, meaning awesome verging on magical pictures that make you smile. Oh and she’s rocking a Givenchy necklace! I don’t think it’s possible for her to get any more brownie points from me. So with the nice June/July cover feature, i’m looking forward to the entire issue, though the cover is quite vague, so the only other celebrity we know who is going to be featured is Cody Simpson – the australian ‘pop sensation’! Have you guys seen him before? I only ask because he looks a lot older than he actually is, I’ll let you guys figure out his age..
